Bruges is know for its poor weather. If you are visiting this city, be prepared for rain and always have your umbrella with you! In comparison with other European countries, Bruges is colder and very much more damp. Another name for Bruges is "The Venice of the North" due to its many water canals, it is also listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.

This must have been my favorite day tour in Europe so far. Growing up with the sound of music, visiting these places really brings good memories. Perhaps someone who hasn't seen this movie would not be able to relate but for me, it made me smile all day. I'll sing "the hills are alive.. with the sound of music" again and again. This song will remain in my mind for many years to come.
All in all, my biggest impression of the city aside from its queer or beautiful architecture, would be its people. Their warm hospitality and sincerity made me really fond of this place. Given the chance, I would definitely return and spend more time in this unique city.
Piazza della Repubblica One of the main squares in Florence, this place is popular with both tourists and locals alike. Stop by to watch an impromptu performance in the square or listen to a street busker. Florence is full of history and rich culture which is best savored slowly. This square through old, is still the home ground for many street artists and historical cafes like Caffé Gilli, Caffé Paskowski and Caffé delle Giubbe Rosse.
Other then the lack of security, Florence is truly a romantic city where we would love to visit again. The old architectures, random buskers, beautiful churches and countless art galleries does give the city a old world charm that would grow on you. When in Europe, Florence is not a place to be missed!
If you only had a day in Salzburg, I would still recommend a visit to this place. You don't have to be a huge history buff to appreciate the deep rich history and beautiful architecture of the fortress. Stay till nightfall and be rewards with the most beautiful night view in all of Salzburg! Don't miss this out when in Salzburg!
Locals and tourist tend to disappear from public areas early and there is hardly any nightlife here so to speak. As a lady, you are advised never to walk along on the streets after the sun sets. There are simply too many suspicious characters loitering the streets and alley ways. Keep your belongings close to you and never let them out of your sight. We have heard many stories of pickpockets in Italy and it pays to be alert at all times. Other than that, we did enjoy our time here and would recommend our friends to visit Venice if they had the chance too.
