Be awed by the beautiful carvings on the seemingly fragile pillars all around the monastery . Some of which even have carvings of curious looking fruits the explorers brought back from their voyages. Truth be told, I really enjoyed my time here. Every wall, altar and pillar seems to tell a story. So don't miss this one out when in Lisboa!

Only 70km away from Madrid, it will take you approximately an hour to reach this old city. Toledo itself is over 2000 years old. It was the capital of the Visigoth Empire from the 400s to 700s. The history of this old town dated right back to 192BC and was previously under Roman occupation. Even today, you can still see some of the ancient roman ruins just outside walls of Toledo.
The Seville Cathedral was added into the UNESCO world heritage list in 1987.
